Had excellent results using blueberries on cellulose fibre ( calico ) - Eucalyptus leaves using steaming method not so great , I would recommend using protein fibres for eucalyptus printing, I had to compensate by adding onion skins - amazing results using onion skins - eucalyptus printing or even as a eucalyptus dye bath should be recommended using silk or protein fibres for optimal results. Alum def makes the results brighter ! Loved it , however it really comes down to the fibre you use when eco dying - onion skins and blueberries take to cellulose fibres brilliantly, eucalyptus printing takes to protein fibres . Loved both products - tannic acid and alum def an eco dyer's essentials, I’m so glad I prepared the fabric accordingly prior to dying - the results were outstanding.
