Silk Noil Fabric 40mm 114cm [SIZE: 1mtr]
Medium to heavy weight 40mm pure silk fabric with an open slub texture. This fabric has lovely drape and will dye with any silk/wool dye. Unlike Habotai and Pongee which are high lustre fabrics made from spun bleached silk - Silk Noil is unbleached and has a matt finish, woven from the short fibers that are left when silk cocoons are processed. Its particularly beautiful when dyed / printed with Eco dyes.*** We recommend a good wash before using this fabric to remove any sericen and relax the weave.
