Information
Batik Tools
Traditional Batik uses hot wax applied with a small tool called a 'Tjanting', a bristle brush or carved wood blocks. This needs to be removed from the fabric after dyeing by covering with an absorbent paper and ironed or boiled out. Finish with a hot soapy wash to fully remove the wax. You may also use Cold Wax which can be applied with a brush and washes out with hot soapy water. *** Silk Scarf by June Marshall.
